Back lift and breast lift together: the combined plan

Why they belong together

The roll at the bra line continues forward into the lateral chest, where it becomes the 'side boob' fullness that spills over a bra. A breast lift alone leaves that lateral excess; a back lift alone leaves deflated breasts beside a smooth back. Treating both lets the surgeon use the lateral excess as a resource — or remove it — and plan the scars as one system.

Auto-augmentation, honestly

After weight loss the breast has often emptied. Rather than an implant, the lateral chest tissue can be rotated into the breast to restore volume and shape — a technique that suits deflated breasts with adequate skin. It gives modest, natural volume, not a large augmentation; patients wanting a fuller result combine the lift with implants, which changes operating time and the staging decision.

Scar planning

The breast lift scar (around the areola, vertically, sometimes along the fold) and the bra-line scar are planned so the bra-line line runs toward the side and, where needed, meets the breast-lift's lateral extension under the arm. Seen from behind, a bra band covers the back scar; from the front, the breast scars sit within the breast.

One session or two

Back lift plus breast lift without implants fits in one session for most patients. Adding implants, an arm lift or extensive liposuction can exceed the safe operating-time limit, in which case the plan is staged — typically 3–6 months apart, quoted transparently. Recovery

The back-lift timeline governs, with breast-specific instructions added: a supportive bra over the vest, arm restrictions extended slightly, and sleeping on the back. Istanbul stays lengthen to 8–10 nights.
